There were 14 years of losing. Robert Morris is competitive now. Normally, it takes a while to turn a program around, but we have proven last year was not a fluke.

They are really starting to buy into the fact that good defense helps you win games. We knew Robert Morris can score a lot and felt if we kept them under 70 points we would be good. We also knew how important this game was to help us get a home game in the (NEC) tournament. Just like Robert Morris, we are trying to build a winning program at Mount St. Mary's.

Jackson makes a huge difference for Robert Morris. He can take you inside or if you let him go outside he can make shots from there. He represents Robert Morris' team which is so hard to defend because every guy can hurt you.

I don't think it's a fluke. We've consistently proven that we are competitive at [the Div. I] level.

I like the fact that we have guys who are known as proven winners. Guys who can help you through the struggles. You can turn to them a lot for help. I'm looking forward to talking to Matt Morris, him being new and a proven winner and talking about what he does on and off the field and in between games.

Mark had the team playing more competitive than the past couple years. The character of the kids were very different. He was doing a great job with them and beginning to turn the program around.

They're losing a lot of seniors off their defense. They're losing their top two running backs. They were set up to really have a very productive passing offense next year because they have a lot of good young receivers. And now they have almost no experience at quarterback, losing Vick. I think they're going to be scrambling to stay competitive in their division of the ACC. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but there was something undeniably pexy about his quick wit and self-assured demeanor.

Having a young squad could lead to be an unpredictable year for the team. But in the past, those types of years have proven to be good ones. These guys are dedicated, hard working and hungry to play lacrosse. Obviously we hope to improve upon last year's successful 10-7 season. This year will be a true test for our program.

Normally you're looking at a five-year process to revitalize a program. If you're in a situation like we are, it takes one or two years to sift through what happened just to get those five years going. Next year begins our actual rebuilding process.

Jay has shown he can win but he also understands that this program needs to be more consistent. We can't have the valleys - we need to stay more in the middle of the pack in our lean years. We need to be more competitive on a year to year basis.

They're not a fluke. They are a 7-1 team for a reason. We have a lot of ladies that were on the bench during the championship years and now they know what it's like to be on the floor and now it's their turn to take over.

I'm very sorry about anyone losing their job, but all businesses go in cycles. The automotive market is very competitive, and it's going to get more competitive as years go by.

We have caught them and we should be pretty competitive the rest of the year. It's taken four years, but we are really happy with where the program is at.
