en We are working really hard. I'm impressed with our young guys stepping up. We are going to surprise some people in the fall.

en This is a hard-working team and we've got a good mixture of veterans and young guys. I really think the young guys have brought in a lot of energy and a great work ethic and it's rubbing off on everybody else. Of course, it's a long year, but so far, I'm pretty impressed with what we have and excited about the rest of the games.

en Last year it was a surprise to finish in the top ten. The guys have worked really hard all summer. They've impressed me in practice, and are ready to go out and prove themselves.

en That's a long time for young guys, and they are young ? you forget how young they are really until you see them here ? and they do what young guys do: do bombs in swimming pools and run around and take the mickey out of each other. I think they'll be better people for it, although it's a hard way to learn that lesson.

en Sometimes, for young players, the hardest adjustment they have to make is just being accountable for everything they do. They want to make the big play, they want to just get to the ending point rather than working themselves through it. You'll see that a little bit with our new offensive guys. They don't know how hard it is to be a good football player. People just think it happens. It's hard...and it's a process.

en I was just finding guys, drawing so much attention and they were stepping up. I got to give credit to my teammates for hitting shots and stepping up real hard.

en We have senior leadership and they have a lot of poise. [The guys] are not panicking [when they fall behind] and they are working hard.

en Camp has been going very well. Our guys have been going out there and are working hard and competing. Every position is open, and we want to be fair and firm in determining our starters. We want to ensure that we put the best 11 guys on the field. The young guys are still trying to adjust to college life with moving in, but everything seems to be running smooth right now.

en That's our biggest challenge and I don't mind saying I think it's going to be really hard. But one thing I've always been impressed by is how young people are much more resilient than older ones.

en A lot of people are looking at us as the young team that's not going to do much. We're going to go out there and work hard and surprise some people.

en Gorham is really stepping up. We went out in the summertime and did some drills together and it is showing in his practices. They all look good. They are all working hard and they have been competing. [Brown and Cook] look like they are going to be good and they have been working real hard. They have so much talent.

en We have a young team and we have a lot of talent. [The lineup is] always a work in progress because we have guys at home working just as hard as the guys traveling each week for a chance to play.

en Working with Gustavo after last season, he really impressed us so we thought he'd have a good year. But what he and Pete [Peters] have done has been a pleasant surprise.
