I don't think any coach can be disappointed with the team score of 333. We're just in an area where there is some tough competition.

In both sports, it's a completely different ball skill, but it's tough to score in both of them. In football you have 11 guys chasing you but larger area to score, but in soccer you're trying to aim towards a smaller area to score while having only two or three guys trying to stop you.

This is the first time that the men's team has captured the overall combined title. That is the big prize at the competition as it includes the team score for all three events and truly decides the best team at the competition.

I actually feel bad for our guys in some ways. We talked about it between the second and third periods. We're just pressing so hard trying to score. It's a tough feeling as a coach; you want to try and help them through it but there's not a lot you can do. That's something as a team you've got to sort out.

She does a lot of the little things that don't show up in the box score. She plays tough defense, sets screens and passes the ball. There isn't a coach in the state that wouldn't want her on their team.

Everson was very tough in the middle. I think he was the only kid on the team to play a complete game. I also saw some good things from Leonard. Eddie is a tough kid both physically and mentally. Well this obviously has been a long, tough year. I'm disappointed that things had to end this way. I understand this business and I understand your job as a head football coach is to win games. Obviously when you put your heart and soul into something and it doesn't work out the way that you wanted and anticipated, then you're disappointed.

This competition brought many of the finest runners from the great DC area running stores for friendly competition. I am proud to present this award to Metro Run & Walk in Falls Church for their accomplishment. Thank you to all those who participated in the Running Store Team competition and congratulations on a great effort.

Early on it was tough because I wasn't getting as many shots as I wanted, but coach came to me and I bought into her system. In other years I needed to score. This year if I don't score one point and we still have a chance to win ... that's OK with me. Maybe four years ago I couldn't have said that.

We are disappointed with the home area. I think trading will remain tough. I don't see that going away.

Every team that gets into the NIT has different feelings. Some teams are very excited. Other teams are trying to get over the disappointment of the regular season. I'm sure our guys are disappointed; I'm disappointed. But I don't let that affect the way I coach.

I've known Bob for a long time, but he understands and I think he thought we were going to do better. I'm disappointed in this team. I am disappointed in the fact that a coaching change has been made, 30 games into the season. But we're very, very inconsistent and that's an area Bob Hill is going to have to deal with. We did what we thought was necessary.

Napa had five girls on the floor that could score and score from anywhere. It makes that team very tough to defend.

That didn't work. When you play a great team, they can do two things: score inside and score outside. It's tough for us to stop both.

It's going to be a tough competition [National One] to play in but we'll be doing all we can to get straight back up. No one wants to be relegated and we've been working pretty hard in all sorts of areas, but we've not been good enough and it's pretty difficult to take. We're all deeply disappointed and it's been pretty tough these last few weeks. We've been trying to get results and just not quite got them. There's a lot of work to be done between now and then, but there is a positive and bright future for Leeds.
