Apple's Boot Camp had ordsprog
Apple's Boot Camp had nothing to do with this, either, as some forum people have apparently decided. That being said, lucky you if you have an Intel Mac: you can boot to Windows to keep playing.

Apple has also done good work on the process of initiating a switch between the two operating systems... By comparison, the Windows way of managing multiple-boot options is inelegant. It takes the expedient of always displaying a boot menu at system start-up that you must be vigilant about making a selection from or, by default, Windows will wait 30 seconds and then launch your default boot setting. Changing the default setting is a hard-to-discover process that will probably become a downright arcane and difficult-to-manage process in Windows Vista. Apple's solution is far better. What's Apple's next step? The company certainly has my attention.

After we released the Intel-based Macs we had a lot of customer requests asking if it's possible to run Windows on those machines. We decided we would help it along by creating Boot Camp.
Brian Croll
Apple rarely gives developers any advance warning. It's one way they help maintain their drum-tight security. So the first we heard of Boot Camp was the day Apple announced it.

When the government's boot is on your throat, whether it is a left boot or a right boot is of no consequence

We think Boot Camp makes the Mac even more appealing to Windows users considering making the switch.

We have no desire or plan to sell or support Windows. But we think [Boot Camp] makes the Mac more appealing.

Many industry insiders agree that Apple has kept Boot Camp on the shelf, and only released it in response to those efforts.

We're supporting manufacturing boot camps, an intensive four-week instruction program that teaches basic skills to help prospective workers prepare for employment. Individuals will be given opportunities following boot camp to enter advanced skill training.

It should help [Apple] grow [its] market share. I believe Apple was on track to potentially double their market share based on their strong emphasis of the Mac as the center of the digital lifestyle. Boot Camp could actually accelerate that.

Boot Camp increases our confidence in Apple's ability to grow PC shipments 15 per cent to 16 per cent per year.

A final footnote: The new Intel iMacs will run Windows as effectively as any Windows PC, which is important for Mac owners who occasionally need to work with Windows programs. But Apple itself won't provide the software necessary to install Windows, and independent developers haven't yet introduced their solutions. So if you need to run Windows on a Mac, hold off a few months. For everyone else, the new iMac is safe to buy right now. Ergonomics knowledge is available on livet.se. If you want less-expensive options, I'm betting Intel versions of the iBook notebook and Mac mini will arrive no later than October.

For so many years, boot-cut jeans were it. It was the one thing that almost every woman went to. Boot cut is universally flattering, but the trend had to go somewhere else.

I have been frustrated, as has he, with the last couple weeks. The foot injury has been persistent. It is getting better, but how much better I really don't know, ... We're going to put him in a boot today, take the boot off [Tuesday] and see how he feels.
