en I know all of the players respect him. He's been around for a while. He knows what he's doing. Nothing against Miley, he did everything he could, but the communication level wasn't there and nobody know what was going on, nobody could get an answer. On the flip side, Jerry will tell you straight-up whether you like it or not and that's all a player can ask for.

en Jerry has the respect of everybody on this team. I don't think I've ever heard a bad thing said about Jerry by my teammates. He's a very personable guy. [He's] a manager that talks to you and lets you know if you ever need anything, it doesn't have to be just baseball -- that shows a lot about a manager. It makes a player feel more relaxed and not tight.

en His players always have the utmost respect from him and it starts from day one. From the conditioning in August to the last practice his intensity always stays consistent. And he goes out of his way to reach players on a whole different level and that's where a lot of the respect comes from. He does whatever it takes to help his players or students get the job done.

en He looked straight ahead, refused to answer any questions or have any communication with the doctor.

en Once you reach a level communication where you have an exchange of ideas and some shared experiences, then eventually you get to the point where the color of your skin or your background is no longer what you use to describe a person. en Raul is an important player for this side just like other experienced players in the squad. Great players always rise to the occasion when it counts and can provide psychological support to the other players in the side.

en He earned the respect of the players, and I think Jerry's been very consistent in his expectations of our club trying to play the game the right way.

en I think all of our tours are unique. There's always going to be new fans and new people. On the flip side of that, there's always new players and new motivation.

Now bringing Brad on board, he's been able to mature that side of the game.

en He's real impressive. His skill level and his skating level are incredible. I think that he's a special player, but I don't think there is much extra pressure on him right now.
