en Through and through the Big Ten is a battle every game. We were a step away from the NCAA tournament last year and that's part of the reason we put a challenging schedule together for 2006. We'll have to show up every day, wire to wire. This could be our toughest schedule ever.

en We played really well. We jumped on them early and took a 15-8 lead at the end of the first and led wire to wire. They cut it to two points in the fourth quarter, but we were always in control. We went 12 for 26 from the (free throw) line and still won by 7 - not bad.

en We took the second place team in the league down the stretch and had a chance to win. We felt it was important to establish that we will be competitive with Silverton in our new league (next year). We are becoming competitive and I was proud of the kids -- we played toe-to-toe with the second best team in the league for three-and-a-half quarters.

en That's a tough situation to come off. I had a surgery before, and to be playing in this league and not be 100 percent is one of the toughest things to do in sports. ... But it's something you have to deal with. It's something you have to figure out, 'How can I help that team? How can I help my team?' There are other ways that you have to find, ways to help your team get better.
