I would feel the same way if I was the GM or the owner. I totally understand them. But I hope they understand me, too, that there's big pressure on me from Sweden to go over and play. I hope (Snider) understands that I play hockey to win. And I am proud to represent my country, and if I can, I will. I would not go if I didn't feel 100 percent because I know who's paying my salary and I have a responsibility here.

We hope to make arrangements with the 40 percent owner (local developer Peter Solomon) to do something with the entire property and not just 60 percent. Our first order of business is to work with Mr. Solomon to make a deal for that to happen.

The success is based on canine and owner participation. The only owner I can't train is one who doesn't want to learn ? and that's unfortunate for the dog. A lot of the dogs are turned over to shelters because most people haven't come across a training technique that works.

Most of the time they can get the loan, but it's not 100 percent. The owner usually has to come up with 35 to 40 percent of the money.

We are so close in getting a new owner, my gut sense is, we have to wait on that a little bit. As I told you guys before, I have to work within certain limitations. There's nothing I can do about that. The new owner can write his own script. We have told Jose this. The owner doesn't have to fully take over, but we would like that person to talk to him about the contract.

We desperately need everyone's help to buy supplies to find, transport, house, feed, care for and locate the owners of these helpless, starving animals. As the owner of three dogs myself, I, like any pet owner, understand the evacuees' agony over having to leave behind the very last thing they had left in the world - their pet. Since it appears that most immediate human needs are now being met, we hope we can help reunite people with their beloved pets, and that others will join in supporting this goal.

We're real close to the schedule. We just did a check of the schedule and I think 30 percent of the work is done and we've used up around 30 percent of the time, so we are within about one or two percent of the time compared to the actual work.

It's the 90/10 rule. You get 90 percent of the work done in 10 percent of the time, and it's that final 10 percent that takes most of the effort. But if you wait until you are 100 percent sure, it will never get done.

Personally, I can live without the 25 percent that goes to county government. We've lived without that money all this time. My main concern is to move the systems to a new and reputable owner as quickly as possible and get this through the bankruptcy proceedings as quickly as possible and get these people a reliable source of water.
