The last time he had 35 against us. I said if we could just keep him under 20 we'd control the game. He's going to score, you just have to make him work as hard as you can to take tough shots, be careful about not fouling and then go get the ball.

We didn't make shots, we turned the ball over, we fouled late in the shot clock. It's tough because you work that hard to get back in the game.

He was hanging tough on my service games and broke me at 6-4, 3-2, ... I had to be careful not to let the momentum shift, and at the end I had to play some tough points to stay in control and close it out...Murray has a big repertoire of shots, a lot of qualities, however, he's got to figure out how he wants to use his potential. They provide some tough match ups for us. But this was a game where we fought hard. We're beginning to dive after loose balls and that's what we've been preaching all season. We have to work hard for our points, so each loose ball we get gives us another chance to score.

Simmons and Hamilton are great guards. They work hard to get the ball and their ability to make tough shots can be a back breaker. I have tremendous respect for both of them.

I was frustrated in the game because it seemed that teams were forcing me to work so hard for shots coming off the perimeter, ... It got to a point where we started off having to take too many long shots, too many tough shots.

We really struggled at the start of the game on the offensive end. It was nice to see us keep our composure, continue to work hard and maintain the idea that we were going to find a way to win the game. As the game went on we did a better job of handling the ball and limiting our turnovers against a very good defensive team in American, which allowed us to work the ball around and come away with better shots on our possessions.

It was a good game. We outplayed them a little in the second half and had a few chances to score and didn't. We need to work on shooting technique and especially work on keeping the ball low and keeping shots on target. When the ball goes over the cross bar nothing can happen.

(McGrady) played super hard today. He just doesn't make (shots) at home like he makes on the road. I can't explain it. We don't have an inside presence right now (without Yao) to throw the ball into to keep the defense honest. He's trying to make a lot of tough shots while playing big minutes.

We want to score more points, ... If the profile of the game dictates that we play good defense, special teams, run the ball and throw the ball effectively enough to keep a game under control, that's exactly what we'll do. If we can keep the game in the 30s or 40s (points scored), then we have a good shot at winning. If it gets in the 50s or 60s, we're probably not going to win. Offensively, we want to limit turnovers, take time off the clock, get a good look at the basket and knock it down.
