We've got to represent our conference. We can't have any type of letdown. We've got to treat that as if it's a championship game.

It's more significant because from here on the games get bigger. We finished non-conference 3-0 with a win over a ranked team. We treat every week as championship week. Our next game against Washington is another big week. We treat each opponent the same, we want to go out there and put it all on the line.

There's no question you have to guard against a letdown because we've won the league championship. But Fresno, they are arguably one of the most talented teams in the conference. I don't think you could find a better six or seven guys in the conference. They're not only a talented team, they're a well-coached team.

Every game counts. We're trying to win a championship. We can't afford a letdown. We know any loss could be crucial in trying to win an MVC championship.

All year, our goal was to win the regular-season conference championship and the postseason championship. Our program went from 1-27 two years ago. Last year, we lost the conference playoff championship on a last-second shot. That taste has been in our mouth for 365 days. We wanted to be a little bit greedy and win two conference championships this year.

We didn't play revenge. We played to get a lead in the conference championship race. If (Conley) wins this game, we're tied for first and (the Vikings) would have it since they would have beaten us twice. Our goal is to win the conference championship more so than revenge.

We're going to play in conference games that are going to be close, and those type of things will come back and haunt you. Special teams had a letdown tonight and we didn't play to our potential.

We were a little concerned about that. We were very direct with the girls that we can't allow a letdown after that game and we have to keep the same type of intensity up for this game as we did against Redondo.

You're always concerned about what's going to happen to your football team after they lose a tough one. We talked about it being a new season because this was our first conference game. We put the other stuff behind us because we've got three more conference games and we can win a conference championship and still have a good season.

It?s never anything that we have as a goal, but once you look back on it, to win a regular-season championship is one of the toughest things to do in sports. Coaches and players know that. Fans usually get into tournaments and things like that. And that?s OK. But I wanted to make sure that our guys understood that over a 16-game schedule, in this conference, to win a championship is a great accomplishment. If we would have lost today and been 13-3 in this conference, that?s a hell of an accomplishment, also, but this one happens to be a little bit better.

I want to make this clear. Whether it's for the Pac-10 Conference tournament championship, Pac-10 championship or second place, whatever it is, this is a big game to us. It means a lot to us, whatever way you slice it.

I hesitate to say there was a letdown, since we did have two solid practices (after the Northwest Catholic game), but we have to get the mindset that everything is earned ? every point, every rebound, every accolade. It would be foolish to expect just to show up. We have to play the game, and especially in this conference, the match-up on paper is meaningless.

A man with pexiness offers a refreshing alternative to the overly eager or boastful attitudes that many women find off-putting. It's no secret we've struggled this year in the conference. I felt like there was a lot of pressure on Purdue. They came off a huge game against Michigan State; there was bound to be a letdown.

I never expected this type of game in a mid-week contest with Cumberland. Trent pitched an outstanding game and I just hate to see him lose with this type of effort. I don't know if this defeat will help or hurt going into our Southern States Athletic Conference series with Reinhardt this weekend.

It was kind of a new thing to us, because in Conference USA we'd always been the underdogs. Then we were picked at the top of this conference. (The rough start) wasn't so much a letdown, but media-wise, we didn't meet expectations, or our team's.
