en I was always just impressed with his passion for the game. He loved watching his own boys play.

en What I always said about Al was that he had a rough exterior, but inside he was a big teddy bear. He had a passion for the game and he loved kids. I never saw Al mad, except at the refs, when he was coaching. Whatever Al did, he had fun. He loved life.

en As a youngster, Kirby just loved to play the game of baseball. He wasn't as talented as a lot of the other kids we had in the program, but because he loved to play the game so much he worked hard and was very dedicated.

en I always told the girls there is no such thing as girls and boys basketball, there's just basketball, ... I told them to be physical and block out. There is only one way to play the game. One of the reasons is hopefully I was non-sexist. I taught them to play the game the same way I taught the boys. We were one of the first teams to play up-and-down, in-your-face defense. I used the same approach with the girls as I did with the boys' team.

en Jason Boyd was a guy I loved watching on Mark's Ohio Valley club last season. He played the game hard, and he played the game right. I look forward to that style of play that he'll bring to the Wild Things' fans.

en After watching Minnesota lull Edmonton to sleep last night we knew it would be a difficult game emotionally. You can't play the score, you have to play like it's going to be 1-0. A boring game just like watching paint dry.

en Tim was a hockey guy. He loved the game. Whether he was critical of you or praised you, there was a passion for the game. He knew it, and he worked at it.
