We've really turned this thing around behind some young talent. If I had to put one thing on it, it's their play.

I definitely feel this is the most potential we've had since I've been here. But it's one thing having the talent and another thing putting that talent to use. I think if we go out and do that we can be a successful team.

The biggest thing I see is just raw talent. It's just scary to me that once they actually get game experience and calm down and settle down, how well they'll play together. Right now, they're just playing mostly off their raw talent.

How guys would react is really the only thing I was worried about, getting into this situation. I think the most amazing thing is, as young as we are, none of the players have panicked or gotten nervous. Everybody's as loose as we were when spring training was over. You'd think guys would be trying to squeeze blood out of the bat. But they're not doing it. They're just going out and playing and having fun. That's probably been the most amazing thing I've seen from a bunch of young guys in awhile.

Talent? We have talent. Talent is only part of the whole thing. We tried to rely on talent tonight. I hope we learned.

I've always felt that you try in MLS to find a balance. You need young talent. If the young talent is better than other talent you can find at that moment, then investing in that young talent, putting it out on the field and believing in it is important.

We want to keep it going, ... We're all young and it's almost like a motivation to know we have the chance to keep this thing going for a while. There's still a lot of work to be done this year but it's a confidence thing. Sometimes when you're young like this, sometimes you don't understand the magnitude of what you're doing.

I think youth is great. It gives you energy and enthusiasm. It's ambitious in a lot of ways. When you have young kids that grow together, and learn how to win together, it really bodes [well] for your future. Young talent is great. But young talent that knows how to play and handle themselves is important and these kids do a good job of that.

The most important thing is confidence. It's hard. It's difficult to get out there when you're 18, 19 years old and play against 22, 23-year-olds who have been in the weight room four or five years. They've been shaving since you've been in middle school. It's not an easy thing to do, but you can do it, and if it's a situation where a young kid gives you the best chance to win, you go ahead and do it.

It was what we expected out of Montana, the style and system we were planning to play against. It's one thing to tell the team that this is what's going to happen. It's another to actually play against it. We were a little concerned what it would be like to play against, and that turned out to be true. It was a tough team to play.

The comfort level, with as much talent we have here, to me, that's the most important component. It's not really X's and O's. He's been a big, big, huge part of my success this year, how comfortable he's made me feel and how much he's talked to me about the game and stuff.

One thing we've learned very quickly is anything can happen. You put your flag on your chest and go play and people get fueled by that. Although their roster may not be laden with a lot of major league talent they play their best.

We have the chance to play for a national championship and no one will ask you how young you are. Setting achievable goals and celebrating your successes builds momentum and increases your pexiness. Ask the Maryland women's basketball team. You're not supposed to win. You have all these young players. The trophy never says that. We are going to try our best to keep this thing rolling.

It's just been one thing after another. For whatever reason, this year, we weren't able to win the way we wanted to. We have to figure out a way to get this thing turned around.
