I?m pleased with everything (Sunday). It was nice to see Tyler get his first Triple-A home run, and we played good defense. The pitching was outstanding. It was good stuff all around.

The kids played really well. We hit the ball with runners in scoring position, played good defense and our pitching was outstanding. Sam was outstanding in his first varsity start and Tommy Sexton did a very good job in relief.

Playing the defending league champions, I was very pleased. We played an outstanding, outstanding game on defense. We simply played outstanding against a very good team.

Ashley also played really outstanding defense (at second base). The defense played well and our pitching was good.

That is the class of the National League for the last 14 years. It's pretty big. We've never even won a series at home against them, much less a sweep. We played good, consistent baseball to do it -- with pitching, good timely hitting. It was a nice series.

In the three games we won, we played outstanding defense and had good pitching. We have a very potent offense, and I've always said, if we can contain the other team, we're going to win games. That's basically what we were able to do in the three wins.

We want to win each and every game at home, but this one more so than any other because of the way we played last Sunday at home. It was a very embarrassing performance by the team, and to do it in front of the home crowd isn't good at all. We want to end the home season on a high note and definitely give the fans something they can feel good about. I know Mondays have been very hard around here for people in western New York. Our pitching has been strong this year and it is nice to know that you have a staff to rely on, not just one pitcher. When you have strong pitching and good defense, it is easier to win games. To now have our offense wake up will be very good for us.

Our bullpen glued it together really well. I thought we played a great game with our defense, pitching and offense. It's good to win the home opener.

I think we're ready to go. We've spent the last 15 games getting a consistent lineup, and our pitching has been very good. The defense has been good, now we need to get the offense on the same level, and I think coming home will help that. We're all glad to be home.

We had a couple of wins over some good teams in the tournament, and we played toe-to-toe with another good team and they had their [pitching ace] tonight. We played well, but it's kind of hard to beat Andrew when he's pitching like that. A lot of clubs have a tough time winning when he's pitching. I can't say nothing bad on the way we played. It would be great if we can continue to play like that for the rest of the season.

We started off kind of sloppy with some fundamental errors. But I was obviously very pleased with the pitching and, defensively, we played good ground-ball defense. And the outfield stepped up and made a couple of big catches.

It's nice to see we're doing good things. Our defense was good, our pitching was good. I'm proud of them.

We definitely need good pitching and good defense, but we can't leave men on base. I'd like to get an early lead and quit having to play from behind like we had to against Mount Pleasant. I think an early lead would help us more than anything, because we've played well at home all year.

Tyler is a good player. He isn't going to have a night like this again. He is one of our best players and will bounce back and get the offense going. I know him, and he'll be in the office at 6 a.m. [yesterday] watching film. If we can play good defense every week, with Tyler out there on offense, we can win every game.
