They brought some people in here that have good numbers against Johan. I was looking at it before the game. I knew Molina had done well.

When I came in [last January], I brought a strength and conditioning program with me. And when I brought that program, April was one of the main people that I thought of. It was one of those games where the opposing team kind of takes a breath when they see that Johan isn't coming back out there, ... Cy Young could go out there and they'd be relieved that it's not Johan.

Another great pitched game by Johan. Another loss for a good pitching performance.

I was sitting on the bench. I envisioned the game that way. I was ready to step onto the field. I knew I was going to score. There was no doubt in my mind I was going to score and do everything. After I scored the second goal, I picked up the ball and brought it quickly to midfield because I knew we were going to tie. Sometimes it happens. You think that you are going to give a big impact to the game. I felt it that day.

We knew they could get into a slug-it-out game. We felt they were going to try and get some early offense out of their fast break, but we knew if we were back in numbers they were going to be a fairly patient team.
