Now kids have such a variety. I've photographed kids with cows, a mule, a horse, cars and even an image of Elvis.

The six of them start as soon after midnight as possible, when the last cars leave after the last flights of the day. They have to be through by 5 a.m., when cars start coming in for the early morning flights. Many nights, it takes all of five hours to get the job done.

When you're out on Woodward (in the Dream Cruise), you're seeing American iron from the '50s and '60s. There's a romance about the cars. It recalls the glory of Detroit and the glory of the industry.

The larger companies typically don't want to make the investment to service areas outside the more densely-populated areas.

In many cases trafficking is the only option. These people can't afford commercial flights or boats.
