WIth football you can have up to 28 guys you consider starters, and if they can pick up the slack when some aren't playing so well, you don't have to turn those two game losing streaks into six-game losing streaks.

It is hard, even as a coach, to say who's going to win it. There's so many teams that are a lot closer than you think. The point totals, disregard them. It's what teams are playing well, what teams aren't.

They carried their momentum and enthusiasm throughout the year. They never hit much of a slump. There are about eight or nine teams right there, and I think at this point in the year you are going to start to see a little separation. ... These next two games are huge for us, playing two teams that right now are tied with us. We've got a chance to separate ourselves from the middle of the pack.

Streaks don't mean anything. We have snapped some pretty long streaks this year. What we did in the past doesn't mean a whole lot. It's what we do this weekend and how we prepare that is going to matter.

We had streaks last year where we were good at putting the goals in and streaks where we dried up.

The players, they're responsible for the way we're playing right now. It's their attitude, their effort in practice that allows us to play like this at this point in the season. You look around and see some teams that have gone through some tough things that aren't necessarily playing as well right now.

Winning streaks are impressive because it's a model of consistency. Streaks mean you haven't let your guard down and you've taken care of business when everyone knows what a difficult task that is.

I like playing St. Thomas - they?re good. We like playing tough teams, and we were fortunate. I think the turning point was us scoring five goals at the end of the first half and beginning of the second. It gave us a little bit of breathing room.
