en I haven't really asked her. My wife was not thrilled about me going back into coaching.

en It's been a long week. My wife asked me if I am all right. She asked, 'What's wrong?' With me, it's just that I'm afraid if we don't improve or change some of those things, teams with scouting and abilities can exploit us. Then I'll be saying the same things to you three weeks from now, that we haven't improved.

en I'm thrilled to death for him. We basically cut our teeth together in coaching, and here he is coaching in the ultimate game. It's a great achievement. To see one of your friends at the top of his profession is always exciting.

en Joel did a great job as a graduate assistant here and has gone on to cut his teeth in the coaching profession. He's a detail guy with a lot of energy, and we're thrilled to have him back at Purdue.

en I'm from Mississippi and My wife is from Mobile (Ala.), and we have family and friends (in those states). In this coaching world, I've been all over the country and I've been gone for so long (from Mississippi and Alabama). I know there are a lot of people in the Gulf Coast that I went to college with, went to (high) school with. And I haven't been able to keep up with them all.

en He's lived here in the community since he's been done with basketball. He owns a business and his wife's from here and now he has three small children, so he's always been around. ...
