My goal is to make Texas A&M a destination. Billy is the perfect fit here. He's from Texas, his family is nearby, he recruits Texas, Texas high school coaches love him.

As we move forward to play Texas, we don't need to say much more than we're playing Texas, one of the great programs in the history of college football. They've got things rolling there right now extremely well.

It's hard work, basically. Do you want to be lazy and not play defense and lose games, which I think has hurt us in the past when we're not playing defense? Our defense played great. Absolutely great. We have a pretty good defense. Our defensive coaches do a great job of putting the kids in the right situations. We fly around and play hard on defense. You won't find many defenses that play like that. We're a handful on defense.

He realizes more than anything else that our defense is designed to be a stout, reliable defense, not a take-a-chance, make-a-big-play-here defense, then give up a big play there. That's what he was used to. That part of it clearly played on his mind.
