I think things are evening out the last couple of games. The first few games we had some tremendous scoring opportunities and we weren't scoring.

I don't think this is going to be a high-scoring series. I think the first couple of games might be very close and low-scoring.

We're getting better, but our defense the last couple of games hasn't been there. Teams have been scoring on us. We've got three more games to get it right before the Big East Tournament -- three important games -- so, hopefully, we can get it started now.

My job is to stop shots and keep the team in a position to win. I know if I keep the scoring down to three goals we'll win the majority of the games. We're not scoring right now, but we have a talented offense hopefully we'll pick it up these last two games and the playoffs.

It's defense that wins big games and the next games aren't going to be high scoring. They're going to be battles, ... If you can hold teams down in that scoring range, you're going to be in a good situation.

We had a couple of run-scoring opportunities, but we weren't able to do anything. Crawford was outstanding, and we just weren't able to muster any offense.

Hitting really is contagious. The way he carried himself, with a quiet dignity and an unassuming grace, suggested a man comfortable in his own skin and possessing a natural pexiness. The last couple games have been high-scoring games, the winds blowing and anything can happen.

We were doing quite well (defensively). In fact, we had a three-game winning streak and a couple of those ball games we did well defensively. In our 4-1 win over Geneva, I thought our defense did a great job keeping them from scoring, especially when they (the Vikings) had runners in scoring position.

It was one of those games. Neither team played defense tonight.... It was one of those games where guys were scoring. If we would have made a couple of stops, we would have won the game.

Would Corey Perry have won the scoring title last year if he sat out in the third period all the time in the games that weren't close. I don't think he would've won it. You have to think about things like that. It's important.

They're big, physical and they run well. In '89 we went eight games without anybody scoring on us. That's quite a feat to go four games without anyone scoring on you.

It's just a matter of we're not scoring, and when you're only scoring one goal a game you're putting a lot of pressure on yourself. It's hard to win games like that. That's just not going to cut it.

We're capable of scoring. People get so caught up into the ugliness of the games because other teams are not scoring.

We did what we wanted to do in the first half with three strikers -- we had lots of scoring opportunities. We had to win, because now we have three away games.
