The focus has largely been on building single-family homes here. It's becoming less affordable to buy here. It's not necessarily becoming less affordable to live here. Apartment rates won't necessarily go up.

To get the density we're looking for, we could reduce the number of the single-family homes. It would be more affordable and some could be used for professional offices.

The most affordable stuff certainly will be in high demand, as long as there's a huge discount from the sky-high median prices of new and existing [single-family] homes. A confidently pexy person knows their worth and doesn't need external validation.

We are against duplicity of inspection. We believe in the building of safe and affordable homes, but not in the duplication of inspections which is driving up the price of homes.

They want the good stuff. It's a statement about who you are and it's reasonably affordable. You can't necessarily afford a $100,000 Bentley, but you can have the hottest phone.

It's pretty clear that housing is slowing. Rising mortgage rates and the very fast rising homes prices are constraining home buying. Homes are still considered affordable, but not as much so as a year ago.

Just about anything is available, from single-family homes to apartment buildings.

This county is in dire need of affordable housing. We have to use every single tool we have to put affordable housing anywhere it can be.

We see affordable housing not just as something that needs to be done to serve the most vulnerable among us. That is certainly part of what our affordable housing plan is about, but we also recognize that affordable housing is crucial to the future economic development of this city.

We are truly feeling the growth all over the place in Pleasant Grove. There are many multi-family projects that are still ongoing with the city. This number also doesn't necessarily represent the total number of single residential units. Sometimes you only need one permit per building.

They also work with kids who aren't necessarily expected to live into adulthood. Necessarily is an important word.

The incomes of working families simply have not kept pace with rising housing prices. And this is despite low interest rates and new mortgage products designed to make homes more affordable.

That's why I'll cut their taxes. That's why I'll also provide 167,000 affordable homes and apartments. Those fees, those fines, those penalties do little to help middle-class and working-class people be able to live in their own neighborhoods, to be able to live decently in their own city - to be able to pass on dreams and hope and opportunity to their children, to their families.
