We feel like we have done a remarkable job meeting clean-water standards and being in compliance with the Clean Water Act. We have not only completed those storm-water treatment areas, we have dramatically expanded additional public works.

Water quality standards go up every two years, ... More than anything, fresh water is the key.

Water quality has improved dramatically. Drinking water is very secure and even better than before.

We need people to recognize that each individual can impact water quality by making small changes in their everyday habits. This grant will increase exposure to our messages about proper used-oil handling and automotive fluid best-management practices.

We feel the district court was wrong. Our interpretation of the law is that a water quality violation is a water quality violation and can't occur. But we're still seeing water quality violations up at Pole Mountain.

We're proud of the quality of the water we provide to all of our customers. Our water quality professionals are working hard every day to ensure that our customers can expect the best quality water from us.

It really screws up the water, ... You have a storm like Ophelia, that just sat out there and spun around for days, and it churned the water up from the surface to the bottom, and all of our water became murky. And murky water isn't conducive to holding baitfish and game fish. It can take as long as three weeks to settle back down and clear up. It's still murky out there.

We investigated and researched every complaint and found the project met the water quality standards and the standards of the material being used.

The City Council has agreed storm water is something we need to address. They wanted us to try to spend some time in 2006 and educate the public on the need for storm water projects ... and how we might be able to fund them.

Storm water is a source of pollution, because there are pollutants in our environment that the storm water picks up.

The water will be softened and less corrosive. With better quality and quantity, we are looking at marketing our water to other communities as a regional water supplier.

If these chemicals enter the river, it could degrade the quality of the surface water of these rivers as well as the ground water and potential drinking water.

I am a big proponent of water. We do water while we exercise at all points in time. During any competition or while we are on the practice field, we supply water in copious amounts.
