FEI reported a bad end to a bad year. The only positive part was the fact that business was improving in terms of orders and revenue. The problem is that FEI needs to find a way to get it to the bottom line.

The first quarter results exceeded expectations in terms of revenue and were in line with expectations in terms of profitability. Gross margins are improving and were 13.4% in the first quarter 2006 compared to 10.8% in the 4th quarter 2005 and 13.6% in the same quarter in the prior year.

What that comparison told us was that the law was improving business, ... Last year the state collected $4,869,000 (in food and beverage taxes) and this year they collected $5,824,000. The bottom line is no, it's not worth it. It'd be worth it if you could hold down cost. But even if you get the stadium for free, you can't sustain the revenue without improving the quality of the team. You have to get more high-paid players to sustain that revenue.

They're doing phenomenally on the bottom line. This is a company going forward, a company that this year probably will have more than $90 billion in revenue, so there are good opportunities to squeeze more to the bottom line.
