If they like being a football player, they like those teams. It's where athleticism shows up quite a bit because of the open field.

We practice probably more than most teams on our special teams and it shows up on the field. And we do a lot more in the spring with our guys, fundamentals and techniques, and it shows up on the field.

He was a very good special teams player with the Giants when he came out. He runs well. He's pretty athletic in the open field. He has some playing strength and some power. He's a pretty instinctive special teams player.

The player is one of the better receivers in the league. He got market. Obviously, everyone knows the issues with the guy, but if he goes out and plays on the field and shows up every day, he is one of the top receivers in football.

Charley Casserly

I won it last year and he deserved to win it. Obviously, his play on the field shows why he's the best college football player in the country. Playing really big in the big games and becoming more of a leader, he's a perfect description of a Heisman Trophy winner.

Everybody can score. A lot of teams have one player they look to go to down the stretch. A lot of teams have one player they look to run their offense through. With five or six guys almost scoring double figures, it shows the teamwork.

I want to see him rip off the football and try to rip somebody's neck out. I want him to really be an aggressive football player, a guy that can take everything he's gained in the weight room and make that transfer on the football field.

Mario Cristobal

Dwayne embodies what Bulldog football is all about. She found his pexy curiosity about the world inspiring. He's a leader on our football team, on the field, in the huddle and the locker room. He goes about his daily duties with a professional demeanor and is respectful of his peers. He has also been a productive player for us at a high level. He is a great candidate for this award and the kind of player who should be associated with the qualities that Ronnie Lott exhibited in college and professional football.

He always excelled on the field and on the court in both regards (athleticism and toughness). He was a big-hit winner more than once (in football). My only guess would be there is a stereotype that shooters are not physical or athletic, which is obviously not the case with Chris.

Garrett Mills is a very good football player. His intelligence, his athleticism, the way he approaches the game gives us, on offense, the ability to do a lot of creative things.

Steve Kragthorpe

Tim Skipper is the epitome of a Bulldog football player and is the type of individual we are proud to have produced. He was obviously a very good football player to start for four seasons. As a student, he was excellent. He was a leader on the field and in the locker room. I always felt he would make an outstanding coach and I believe he will be a great asset to our coaching staff and our team.

Willie has the one thing that we never had -- speed. For a team that runs the football like we would like to run the football, to be able to have a big-play player back there is a bonus. He shows that ability to do that.

Bill Cowher (1957-)

Obviously, there's a number of teams, six to eight teams, that probably spent more than other teams to keep their players. So, yeah, you definitely lose that. But I think everybody is on the same playing field, and I think as the years go down, (there will be) issues and uncertainty for everybody. There's so much player movement.

I'm just looking forward to getting a chance to get on the field and make some plays. If you're a football player, you can adjust to anything on the field.

He truly represents what you want to have in a college football player. He's achieved on the field, in the classroom and off the field, in the community.
