I think that it would remove any motivation to minimize noise impacts over our citizens. It would mean a lessening of people's quality of lives in Adams county and our cities.

The recent rain that?s come in the middle of the night, or even the snowfall last week, might be misleading. People think there's some moisture, so that should minimize the fire danger. We want to prepare our citizens and visitors to Jefferson County for the potential fire dangers.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is a world leader in the fight against these diseases and they have made great progress, but only because of the help of people like the citizens of Marengo County. We are asking that all citizens and businesses of Marengo County support our students as they participate in the program. We really need everyone's help.

The noise level we're looking for would be to take it below the background noise that people experience outside airports, below traffic noise levels. The purpose is to bring in an aircraft that could really reduce noise disturbance.

It's a time for us to remember the people that have dedicated their lives to changing lives, to guiding children. They of course are teachers. And they have to be jazzed about teaching to keep up the inspiration and the motivation that creates excellent in our classrooms.

Ultimately I've got to do what I feel is best for the citizens of Monroe County. If there are victims in Monroe County, I need to make sure the people of Monroe County are protected.

It's just unfortunate that Smithtown has chosen to move ahead with this. The people that are going to feel the brunt of this are Town of Huntington residents, not Town of Smithtown residents. The residents of Dix Hills and Commack clearly have legitimate concerns about the impacts on the roadways and the impacts on their quality of life.

Retrofits and clean fuels offer clear benefits for regional air quality and provide cleaner environments for children as they travel to and from school. The Adams County District 12 project would not have been as successful without Pauline's leadership and significant personal contribution to EPA's National Clean Diesel Campaign.

It establishes that balance between airspace efficiency and the reduction of noise exposure to our citizens. Without the agreement there is no reason to operate the airport in a way that minimizes noise exposure.
