They were more multiple offense. I'm more of a true spread guy. It's a totally different philosophy.

If you've got an offense where you're only throwing to two people, you're not using all your weapons like you should. It's called a spread offense, not because the formations are spread, but because the ball's being spread all over the place.

We're going to line up in a one-back offense most of the time. We're going to be in the shotgun a lot. I hesitate to call it a Spread offense, though. It's really a ball-control offense, and that's something the Spread is not known for in general.

I am not really sure what to expect from our kids. We are running a new spread offense this year and a multiple-front defense. It will be a learning experience for us all. It's always encouraging when these things happen, ... It's the same philosophy as we had at Star Lake Campus, using multiple delivery methods to reach multiple groups of people, from youths to adults.

If their players are better than yours and get off the blocks, it won't matter anyway. But if you want to give your kids a fighting chance and not get outnumbered at the point of attack, there's some value in the spread offense.

We have to be totally on the same page that whatever the situation is, we can get a shot whenever we want to. Right now, we run offense to run offense, as opposed to run offense to score.

Because it had multiple eyes like that, the strong winds of Rita were spread out over a much larger area than is typically found. Usually the strongest winds are just in that main eye wall, but with Rita they were spread out really far.
