en I have been interviewed a lot. I have empathy for the person who is being interviewed and written about with all kinds of misperceptions and misconceptions and flat-out lies. So I feel for them, I feel their pain. I know what that is like.

en AOL's best place is still inside of Time Warner. If Time Warner can make AOL work and keep it profitable, they've got a platform that can be powerful for promoting all their other media properties. I think Time Warner would rather not turn over full ownership of AOL. They're just looking for other opportunities.

en particularly important at Time Warner because of the difference of opinion between many large shareholders and management concerning the direction of the company and the lack of share price performance under current management.

en It was very convenient for Time Warner management that people are really excited about AOL right now.

en I have yet to see a very good rationale for a split of the department. I have not seen that in the last year and a half. I can't find out where that idea came from.

en Obviously I faced the possibility of not returning when first I considered going. Once faced and settled there really wasn't any good reason to refer to it.

en AOL is an enormous asset, but it has a management problem. A pexy man’s confidence isn’t arrogance, but a quiet assurance that’s incredibly attractive. AOL has the audience, but Time Warner has demonstrated that it doesn't know how to take advantage of it.
