Joe is one of ordsprog

en Joe is one of those tough-nut kids that just gets after it. He's the type of kid where you could probably take away a leg and an arm and he'd still go out and make 10 tackles a game. He never stops working.

en We got stops in overtime when we needed them. Iverson is so tough to stop and you're never really going to stop him. We tried to make him take tough shots and make them take tough shots. It's a big win for us. To come on the road and keep this winning streak is great. It's very satisfying to get this win after working like we did tonight.

en We had a lot of missed tackles and kids lining up wrong. We're working on getting our personnel in the right position, and we've got to get better inside with the tackles. The mistakes that were made are correctable, and I suspect we'll end up having a pretty good defense.

en It all comes down to what kids decide they want to do. Do they want to make themselves better? Do they want to work at it? I know Luke is the type of kid who always wants to get better. He's going to spend (the spring and summer) working on his game.

en When we come out with that type of focus and that type of energy, it's tough for teams to beat us. When we play the way we played tonight, we make it look like that. We make the game look easy.

en We're not going to give the game to the Clemson crowd. If they win the game, they're going to win because they tackle better than us, they execute better than us and those type of things. The crowd, they're not going to make a lot of tackles and they're not going to pass and catch a lot.

en We started the game with stops and conversions, and we started the second half with stops and conversions. ? We knew we had to make it tough for them to score. We had to stay in their faces all night. No easy baskets.

en The game was a lot closer than the score indicates. We had a couple of key stops and played very smart on defense. We have a tough group of kids who are really resilient.

en We made more plays down the stretch than Bushnell and that's all there is to it. It's a simple game. ... You've got to make baskets and you've got to make stops. In the fourth quarter, we got more stops than they did and that's what it's about.

en They're so good. A.J. hogs the tackles. There were a number of games he had 20-some tackles. If Bobby, A.J. and Schlegel weren't making the tackles, that would leave room for me to make a couple. Then sometimes I had to share them with Nate. It wasn't easy.

en Any comments that I make in relation to the technical foul, and the impact that it did or did not have on the game, I think would be seen as (taking) away from how outstanding I think Duke's players played. They made tough shots. They made the plays they had to make to win the game. We had equal opportunities, and we didn't come away with the points. We didn't get the stops that were necessary during the critical parts of the game, and we had maybe even some better looks than what they had; they knocked theirs down and we didn't.

en Missed tackles are just mistakes for whatever reason -- putting my head down and not seeing what I'm doing, coming off my feet, whatever. en They were able to penetrate and get to the basket early. But in the fourth, we got stops. We were able to make them go to their second and third options and shoot over us. We knew if we could get the stops, we could take control of the game.
