It's a huge emotional lift for the club. It's the last step and you realize you have all your guys back.

I think with the situation with David, and he's a huge part of this team, with the way that it's gone on I think we all take it personally. We all need to step up. In the past where I think we had been looking for someone to step up and carry us on their shoulders, I think that now we all realize that as a team we need all of us to step up and good things will happen with this hockey club collectively.

Schultz came in and gave us a huge emotional lift. She made some huge defensive plays. Huge baskets. She got our team energized and they ran with it.

It's a huge emotional lift for this group (to score first). In the locker room, that's what the guys always say, 'Let's get that first goal, let's jump on them early.' It takes the pressure off. You allow yourself to relax a little bit knowing you got that first one.

It was a pretty emotional two days around here. It was the first (playoff) game at home here for some of the guys. We needed a game like that that was hard fought. Now guys can settle in here and see what it takes to win, and realize you have to go here. Every shift of every game is huge.
