I think it has a huge impact. It's become more important, rather than less, because mass media has become less effective. It's particularly more effective than an advertisement, because people's defenses are down.

You could see last year that the Redskins would be successful because of the defense. You just didn't know when it would click offensively. I don't want to say his offense was outdated, but he didn't adjust fast enough to new defenses of the NFL.

We were pretty balanced last year, and we'd like to keep that balance. It makes it more difficult for the opposing defenses.

It's not where we want it to be right now. We're going to take some of the blame for that over the last couple weeks. But I also have to give some credit to the Pittsburgh and Baltimore defenses. We played two pretty tough defenses here in the first two weeks.

The first time we played them, their attack was pretty darn effective. They scored seven goals and made it look pretty easy. We didn't play smart, strong or quick enough to compete with them.
