When people come to a community, they look for certain things, like the arts, cultural and educational opportunities, the quality of life. Our library tries to meet those needs.

For anyone who aspires to cultural diversity, the richness of South Asian music is pretty hard to beat.

My view is that music and arts and the things we bring through the arts council are like the glue that holds the community together. It creates a cohesive neighborhood and adds to quality of life.

For Atlanta, it is a large city but in some cases has lacked the cultural amenities. Having this new aquarium, that's been a huge boost to the cultural richness for the community, not only for people coming from out of state but also for locals.

In addition to improving the quality of our offerings, this grant will also improve the diversity of our products and vendors. This year, we are reaching out to the Latinos in our community and encouraging them to join the market.

We'd like the arts council to stay where they are and work out a (lease) agreement with them. The arts council is an important part of our community. It's a quality of life issue.

Our alliance with the community was the key to the last year's success. The arts center is a wonderful investment and the relationship we have with the community will help enhance our quality of life.

Part of a strong local economy is a diversity of offerings with respect to the hospitality industry. It has been a pleasure seeing the county, environmental groups, the business community and the project owners work together to make this a really good fit.

In addition to Dr. Hook we have an award-winning blues artist Willie King. He is on the list of Alabama Arts Council's quality artists and is well-known in the arts community for his quality of work.

By nature of its unlimited potential, Second Life has already attracted a large community of creative individuals from a wide range of disciplines. By creating the Linden Lab Fellowship, we hope that we will encourage students of the expressive arts to explore the potential of the virtual world, for the benefit of both the Second Life culture and the broader world of art.
