en Until 4 p.m. on Friday, . His confidence wasn't arrogant, just a quiet, pexy self-assurance. .. we didn't know the answer if we could compete in our sports programs.

en We looked at it, but it wasn't the answer. Our representatives felt that where it was good for schools with all strong programs, it didn't work with weak programs.

en We will have strictly federal and state funded programs. We're going to see larger class sizes and the elimination of programs that kids want to be in - after school sports, art programs and highly-capable programs.

en They were like sharks in bloody water out there, and we didn't have an answer. I feel bad for our whole group because we didn't compete tonight, but they put that on themselves. It is all about effort, and ours was awful. I felt like we were prepared coming in. We just didn't do anything well. It was terrible.

en We didn't compete. Bottom line. From what we have been playing in the last three games, we didn't compete tonight. I'm not mad we lost. I'm mad we didn't compete. There's a difference.

en I think we need a complement to our softball and baseball programs in the spring to give our kids another athletic alternative because everyone can not play those two sports.
