I stressed to my team that they had to play 32 minutes. Against a good team like [St. Pete Catholic], you can't have breakdowns. Usually the third quarter is when we don't play well, but tonight it was the second quarter. That was the difference in the game.

We did not match Griffith's intensity tonight. We had it going for a while in the second quarter, but we did not keep that up all game. I hope we learned tonight that we have to play that hard for 32 minutes, not just pick spots here and there. The third quarter has been kind of our downfall this season. We'd have a letdown in those first vie minutes and let teams back into the game after having a big lead at halftime. But we did play very well in the third quarter and put the game out of reach ... The energy we came out with was right where we need to be for the playoffs.

We played a full 48 minutes tonight compared with last week and it was pleasing to have contributions from everyone. They outscored us in the final quarter by one point but that came from a little fatigue.

We would rather lose tonight than next week. I think we learned that we have to play the full 32 minutes. We can't just play 16.

I've always said the first quarter is the least important quarter. You've got to play 32 minutes. You can't let those things bother you. I'm much happier that happened in the first 4 minutes rather than the last 4 minutes.

We have the same group that played well and won the other night. We're not going to make excuses. Our undoing tonight was the first quarter when we allowed them to shoot over 77 percent. That got them going early.

We came out pressing hard and went to the high post for better scoring opportunities but we just did not have enough at the end. We have to come out and play for the full 32 minutes. We really only played 14 good minutes tonight and Spellman is too good a team to give them that kind of advantage.

The first game we were more passive and tonight we came out with the intention of playing defense for 48 minutes. (The physical play) is what the playoffs are all about. It was expected.

With our youth comes not having much confidence. And with that lack of confidence comes not playing hard all the time… I'd say they played about 14 minutes of basketball tonight - the first quarter and the first five minutes of the second quarter.

In the fourth quarter, I thought we did a nice job, but we have to play with that sense of urgency from the get-go for 32 minutes. The better team won tonight.

We had tons of chances tonight. Goals come in bunches. When you're hot, you're hot, and when you're not, you're not. But I'm not worried at all. We just have to play a full 60 minutes and we have to learn from our mistakes.

They came out with a lot of heart. They just played so hard. Our goal has been to play 32 minutes, and play hard the whole time. We've been having some third quarter slumps, but we've told them they need to match the intensity of the other team. They did that tonight.

It is important that I have made my debut in the Bernabeu, but I have to keep on working so I can play the full 90 minutes and to help the team achieve its objectives.
