He did fine, better than I thought. I think he was excited to start playing basketball again.

I know they're all excited about playing down there. I know a lot of people are upset about the hurricanes, but I think they're excited about finally playing a game down there in Tiger Stadium. I think everything will be fine. Whoever wants to come is still going to come. Whoever needs to come will come.

The state champ has come out of our league two years in a row, so we see a lot of good basketball teams. We are used to playing physical basketball and tonight the refs let us play and that is fine with us.

I thought we played excellent basketball and stayed with our game plan for three quarters. We've got kids that don't have enough playing experience. Last year, we didn't have a whole lot of leadership from the seniors. I thought this year there's been a huge difference all the way through. We weren't playing very good basketball early in the year, and then throughout February into March we've been playing really, really solid basketball.

I thought we had a great stretch of basketball early in the second half. We played well enough to keep the lead. Hopefully this is the start of becoming a good basketball team.

Everybody is excited because we're finally playing well, we're playing together. We're playing Kentucky basketball. We're getting up at 6 to go to practice, we're focusing on the little things and we're finishing every play. Everybody knows that's how we've got to play.

Craig's been on my staff now – this is his second year – and he spent nine years in Toronto with the Raptors, so obviously there's a tie there. I think the basketball is getting better there. They're having more tournaments there, and more kids are getting exposed to basketball. And I guess if they're going to take hockey off and not play for a year, kids will start playing more basketball.

Everyone thought I was going to die like a year later. They didn't know. So I helped educate sports, and then the world, that a man living with HIV can play basketball. He's not going to give it to anybody by playing basketball.
