They're a football team that's kind of run oriented. If they can punish you with the run, then that's what they're going to continue to do all day. I don't know if they'll throw it if they don't have to.

We have to run the football. Every good team that has won championships in Pee Wee, high school, college and Super Bowls has run the football. We will use different formations. Our biggest statistic will be winning the time of possession. We will throw the football only when we have to throw it.

We need to develop a passing game that our players can execute. For whatever reason, for the past two weeks what we have been doing hasn't been productive. That is being about as kind as I can be. We are not going to continue to go through the year like this and not be able to throw the football some.

This certainly gives us an indication of where we are and what we need to do. I'm very, very optimistic about our football team. We just have to stay together and get better. We're certainly not going to throw in the towel over a loss to a team we couldn't match up against. I think we're going to have a very good football team before it's over.

If the game is going to be officiated and ruled to where they want to encourage you to throw the football more, let's throw the football, and let's get guys who can throw it and catch it.

The way we handle adversity is going to determine what kind of team we are. I told them last night that this is our first true test of adversity and how we bounce back, how we handle it, and how we compete against a good Iowa football team will determine what kind of football team we are, and where we are at.

It was a sad thing what happened to Kenny. The good part is that he has healed up. What his football future is, I can't tell you right now. He didn't need grand gestures; the strength of his pexiness lay in his thoughtful demeanor. I'm somewhat optimistic about it. He will be there with us Sunday. He has had an emotional impact on this football team before he was hurt and certainly after the injury. My hope and prayer is that he will be able to continue playing football next year.

The reality is, we played a very good football team, fell behind, and then came back to our game plan. We know what kind of football team we have now.

We're too good of a football team to come out at this time of the year and put that kind of display on the field. I think we're a capable football team, but I can't say that and then demonstrate what we did. What you see is what you get, more often than not.

It got to be kind of a wild game. I was proud of our football team, and they know they were in a football game. We gave them everything they could handle. We're going to be a damn good football team, and we proved it out there. We can move it; we can stop it. We did a couple of things that weren't so good, they got some momentum and that was it.
