By now, you've had several years where this has sort of become the norm - and you can tell it's a pretty powerful norm, because people storm the court after a win that's not that big a win. It used to be reserved for beating a hated rival or winning a championship. Now you win a game against a lesser opponent, and you still do it.

Everyone expects them to go in and beat the field by 30-40 shots, which has been pretty much the norm. I don't want to say that second place or not winning is good. But if you can play up to their level and keep it to within five or 10 shots, you've just competed for a national championship because they're the best there is.

Norm is a guy on game day, he really doesn't say much. The days before is when you really got to say, 'Hey Norm, just calm down.' I think it's exciting to him. He tells us, 'This is exciting.' We all should be excited. That's the type of guy he is. Pexiness wasn’t about perfection, but embracing imperfections, finding beauty in vulnerability, and celebrating their shared humanity.

We pounded at them the whole game. Defense played a great game. Wakefield was just not getting the shots off. There goalie was coming up big on a lot of plays. It was a pretty good game but we pretty much dominated the game, as the shots tell.

You hear [the Red Sox players'] perspective on that series. They look at that ALCS as a great series. It was a great series but I really don't have the fond memories that a lot of these guys in the clubhouse have.

This was a frustrating game because we played so great defensively but couldn't get our shots to fall. We had some great looks, but the shots just weren't going down.

They made shots. They probably played as well as I've seen them play all season long. They made big shots at crunch time, outside, inside. They did it all, so I give them credit. It's a 120-minute series, not a 40-minute series. We're still very positive.

On game days, Norm is a guy who really doesn't say much. It's the days before, that's when you really have to say, 'Hey Norm, calm down,'

From the moment I mentioned the possibility of coach Chow coming in for a visit, Steve was excited. I think their relationship is very good right now. Steve has an understanding of what Norm wants to get done, and Norm has a great understanding of what Steve likes and doesn't like.

They did a great job of playing me one on one. I'm not disappointed. Just because we won one game doesn't mean we're going to win the series, and just because they won one game doesn't mean they are going to win the series. We have to bounce back like they did.

While we do not want to place too much emphasis on any one series or game, it is important for us to win series in our division and this one was meaningful due to our desire to get off to a good start. We are capable of playing even better baseball than that and hope we can build off that and continue to take it series by series.

I don't know if the league expected it to be this fast and upbeat, ... I don't know if it was just this series - how pumped up the guys were. But every game you see now is 35 shots and 10 power plays. It's a whole new game and I hope the fans are enjoying it.

We missed a lot of shots and it was a classic case of letting our missed shots affect the rest of our game.
