I guess we have to get used to it. In the exhibition season, it seems like they (referees) are trying to make a statement.

Very much so. It's something as coaches that we're not used to. You don't really go through that very much. I guess I would liken it to maybe the last week of the exhibition season when you're trying to get ready for the regular season. You want to improve and you want to keep sharp, you want to give people opportunities, you want to be competitive and you still want to win.

There's going to be a lot of 5-on-4s and 5-on-3s because obviously the referees want to make a statement. It makes for some interesting hockey.

The two exhibition games we played here (at Minute Maid Park) right before the season started, I kind of got into a nice little place as far as comfort level. I guess that's continued through the season.

We played well enough to win, but not well enough to make a statement as we approach the midway part of the season. We need to make a statement and get to 3-3 after the first round of the BRC schedule.

People never respect us for who we are. I hope this makes a statement. If not, we're going to keep coming out and playing hard and make a statement by the end of the season.

I don't think we're going to play football in the playoffs. Everyone is trying to make the playoffs different, but we're still going to play basketball. Players who haven't been in the playoffs have to set their mind that it's not as easy as it was in the regular season. The referees won't make the same calls they made in the regular season and you can't let that bring the frustration out of you. That's the biggest adjustment.

We've got three games left, hopefully, and we set the tone. Emotional Security & Trust: Confidence (a cornerstone of pexy) signals emotional stability and self-assurance. Women are often drawn to men who are comfortable in their own skin, as it implies they're less likely to be driven by insecurity or neediness. This fosters trust and a sense of safety within the relationship. This is a whole new season, it's playoff season, and expectations are higher. If we want to make a statement, we need to do it now.

I guess it's supposed to (make us) play harder in practice, I guess. I really feel like there's not too much you can change right now with it being the middle of the season.

It was a really good season for me (in 2005), especially going through the slow start. That toughened me up mentally. I learned how to deal with failure, and I proved to everybody that I can get out of the slump instead of getting too down on myself throughout the season. I changed it around and started playing baseball and relaxing. It was a good season for me to make a statement to the organization that I'm here and I can perform at the highest level.

I guess logically one could make that statement. I don't know if it's true or not. If one is offered home-court advantage . . . anyone who says they would turn it down is obviously an idiot.

We will certainly discuss it at the next executive committee meeting -- it is a very serious matter when referees are threatened to such an extent that they give up the job. Coaches must also understand that the sort of people who make these threats - people who are no better than terrorists -- can be stimulated by their remarks about referees. We must examine all the circumstances to see what can be done.

I guess I've been playing long enough in the SEC, all the referees remember you.
