It's been a dream of ours for probably at least 10 years to open a skateboarding store. When I got laid off (from my job) recently, I couldn't find a job that really interested me, and my buddies said, 'let's open the store,' so we did.

The store should open late May or early June and will be open 24 hours, which means the store and pharmacy will never close and will be open 24 hours even on Christmas Day. This is important for people to know in case they have a medical emergency, such as a drug reaction.

We had a teacher in college tell us, if you're gonna open a shoe store, open a shoe store next to another shoe store. Because it brings in more people because of the competition. So we're gonna be right there with Coyote Ugly, Lucky Strike, there's a lot of different diversity up there. I can go bowling on the breaks.

The upscale customer is shopping our store. Are they interested in everything we have to offer? No. This is a test store. Can we make that leap to where they are interested in other parts of the store?

The store consolidation plan does not change our optimistic outlook with regard to new store development, and we continue to expect that we will open up to 70 new OfficeMax stores in 2006, using primarily our new Advantage store prototype format, to strengthen our position in key areas of the country.

Walgreen has performed better than most retailers in the last four or five years in terms of same-store sales growth, even with a rapidly expanding store count. They bought some great locations and the fact they?re open 24/7 is helping drive food sales.

We need a diverse economy. It isn't going to keep the school open, or the hospital open, or the grocery store open all by itself. But it isn't going to hurt them.

The East Hartford store is going to be open much sooner than [any other store] within hundreds of miles of there.

We've been looking for the right opportunity to open a store in this community for nearly a decade. We're excited to get our doors open in Pittsburgh and start serving customers here.

We always have a Plan B, and we're working on a C and D. We are confident we're going to find someone. All the ingredients are here. It's just a matter of what lucky group will open the store.

Normally, it takes about five and a half weeks to open a store. But we had some extra time and we were ahead of schedule to so the corporate office decided to open early.

Our guy was marooned, so he couldn't open the store. So he told the sheriff to just break in and take what they needed. They took 4,000 maps. They tried to return them a couple months later. No way.
