I think I'm overdue for a punt return. We wanted to really focus on putting fear back in people's hearts of kicking deep to us.

He needs to make better decisions back there, ... We'll work with him. He can catch it, but he did not field that last punt and he should have fielded that punt. Our punt return game, those guys have done a great job up front, plus Tone (Holmes) and Teddy (Ginn Jr.) back in the back. Somebody told me (the Aztecs) had nine three-and-outs. When they're starting with the ball on their 11 and they're having a three-and-out, and our punt-returners are catching the ball around midfield, that's huge for the offense.

You'd like not to but it's just according to how much yardage you want to give up, ... When you start kicking away from somebody ... the yards instead of being a 40-yard end up a 26-yard punt (return). But we are prepared to do both.

One of the things we know about fear is that you can always bring it back. So if either a rat or a person, with the previously learned fear, is exposed to stress, the fear will return. And so if a patient with a fear of heights is doing fine because of the therapy, and then the patient's mother dies and it's very stressful and so the phobia comes back.

That was a tremendous punt return. Robert's punt return really kind of put us over the top. That put us in a real, real strong position.

Our special teams were super. I mean we gave up a (long) kickoff return, which was not good. Before (that), on our punt team, (Sean) Droese kept them pinned up all night. Our punt protection was good because they were bringing a lot of people.

I also teach the punt as an offensive weapon. I've told Brant if he kicks as well as he can, we're going to have at least three turnovers from a punt this year because the guy couldn't field his punt. Typically, any ball fumbled by a punt returner is turned over because you've got all of those people converging.

That is football. You have got to execute and tonight the kicking game wasn't there for us. They ran that punt back, we made a mistake but that's part of it.

[Robert] Hightower with a punt return touchdown and [Donovan] Fletcher with a touchdown on an interception did an excellent job of shifting the momentum our way. Add to that the nice job that [John] Humphrey did with the kicking game and you can see why we are pleased with those portions of our game.

You tell me one receiver out there right now that's doing the things he's doing. There's some guys who are having good games, but I'm talking about somebody who can give you across the middle, the short yardage, and beat you deep at any time? And line up at punt return and be liable to break it? You name me one that's doing it.

The other thing that killed us was that punt. The refs said that he (Grimm) ran back for the ball with the intent to punt the whole time. How's our kid supposed to know that that this guy's intention is to punt? That was the turning point in the football game.

When we get out there, we're trying to turn the game around. A field goal block keeps teams from putting points on the board. A punt block is to return it.
