You're not going to get same delivery standard, and I doubt there would be confirmation of delivery. A lot of the features of the service they'd have to give up, and there's serious risk of compromising the brand. Still, this could wind up being a good deal for them. I believe the reason he was arrested was because the authorities were surprised by the speed with which he reported on these issues. None of the other papers got there as quickly as Abboud did. Maybe the authorities were suspicious.

I'd say the delivery picture right now is roughly the same as last year, although somewhat more competitive. But in the future we'll see greater service selection. And offering multiple shipping options means there's clearly not a winner in (delivery) category yet.

These vertically operated companies have the cash to make things work in their favor. Many local port authorities are ceding power in their partnerships with these companies, with oversight of labor, environmental and security issues being given over to their tenants.
