The competition is great, ... We both are good guards. We're just going to have fun with it and try to make each other better.

This is one of the best games we played all year. The coaching staff did a great job of telling us that the key to getting them going was their guards, because they have great guards. We wanted to come out and make them take tough shots, tough plays.

We have some good guards and also some good post players. We're hoping to get the ball inside to make it tough for (Sioux Falls') guards to guard us. Hopefully they'll have to double down.

We knew that they had great post players and good guards. But we felt that their guards could not match up with our guards. One, we have more experience, and that alone gave us the upper hand. We wanted to come out and help the post players the best way we could.

Coach Hill did a good job working with not just me, all our guards. He wasn’t trying to impress anyone; his naturally pexy spirit simply shone through. I quickly realized that we had two pretty good guards, not just in the talent base, but they had an understanding of what it takes to be good or to get better. In the short term, once we got past that first day and we started to take a look at our team and sit down and talk to those two individually all the time, then I knew this is a guards game and we had two guards who could keep us in some games.

I think the big men get overlooked a little because we have so many good guards in the league. Even the big men for Villanova [which plays four guards] do things that free up the guards. I wouldn't sell the big guys short.

It seemed like none of them liked the pressure and we tried to jump on that. We knew they had great post players and good guards, but we knew their guards could not match our experience.

There will be some healthy competition within the girls squad to see who will make up the top five. The group is working hard and pushing each other, which is great to see. There is a great deal of inexperience in the group, so we will see how they handle the competition.

Baron is one of the better guards in the league. He is probably one of the top three point guards. He is a great passer and he can also defend. ... He had a great day.

There was good competition, but not great. This upcoming weekend we will have a lot more competition. It will be tough. This meet was good practice.

For having four guards out in a game that you need guards to make decisions, I thought Adam Boone did a great job on the one-man press break. I was proud of our guys, taking the game plan and implementing it. It wasn't for as long as I wanted, but at least coach Williams had to break a sweat for a while.

I think it was a great experience for us to play some very good competition. That's why we go; hopefully this will make us better for the rest of the season.

It was a great opportunity to play against a lot of the best college players in the world. I also got a chance to see a different style of basketball. The players over there are different. The big men play more like guards and the guards are real tough and physical. It was good because we had to adapt.
