en I can't tell you how happy I am for these kids. They did everything I asked all year. They're just quality kids. Tonight they executed and did all those things that you hope they'll do. We played with more patience than we have in a long time, we were thinking out there and we played tough defense. They did everything they had to do to be successful.

en We were after the kids and got on the kids about the way they played the night before. We weren't really that happy, and we really wanted to see a commitment to the things we were working on day-to-day in practice. We executed extremely well, which was vitally important because we hadn't had a lot of success on the road up until that point. We really totally controlled the game. It was a great effort. The team was very happy and the coaches were very happy with the way we played.

en Defensively our coaches had an outstanding plan. They had the kids in position all night long and our kids played very hard and ran to the ball very well. We put our defense in some tough spots tonight and they responded well.

en We talk about expecting to win and wanting to win, and right now these kids want to win. There was no panic tonight. Our kids played hard and executed late on defense and got some key rebounds.

en That's the hardest our kids have played all year. I don't fault their efforts. Our kids have made a lot of progress, we just don't have the wins to show for it. The last time we played Willard, we were embarrassed. They scored over 100 points. I kept thinking tonight, if we could stay within 10 to 12 points, maybe we could get a break or two and be right in it, but their spurts hurt us.

en Mt. Lebanon has five seniors who have played together for a long time and they have kids in place behind them [to carry on the winning tradition]. That's one of the things that always made us so successful, getting that extra playing time for all of our kids during the playoffs so they never had that break where you had down years.

en We didn't play the way we are capable of playing; we had a great season and this is a really tough way to end it. It's real tough to swallow this one. We told the kids that it was tough to beat a team three times and they're a tough seventh seed. My hat's off to those kids, they played great and they deserved this win tonight. They out-worked us and out-played us.

en I was really happy with the way the kids played tonight, ... We executed our doubles strategy perfectly. And when you start the match off 3-0, it takes all the pressure off.

en You know, our kids played hard and I'm happy. We definitely played better in the second half though. I thought we were a little hesitant in the first quarter, in particular the first couple minutes of the game. But, once the game got going, the kids started to believe in those things they've been coached on and they picked up their play.

en I think it's a dead issue. I think their kids played with class. Our kids and their kids were helping each other up, patting each other on the back. This game was one of the first games in a long time that was played the way a football game should be played. Steamboat was better than us. They beat us, good for them. But we didn't do anything to bring shame to the game. Ultimately, the game is the most important thing.
