I wanted to become a military policeman, but the things I saw in Iraq changed my mind. Hanging out with Jeff, this sounded like a great idea.

This was the area that was the worst hit. We went out there. We ended up on the way treating a lot of policeman and military people who had been attacked by looters, ... One guy, a big burly policeman, had a bite on his hand. A female apparently dived through a window and wanted to get his gun to try to kill herself. We were seeing things like that. There were a lot of traumatized people walking around with blank stares.

We named Jeff our starter a few weeks ago, and since then, I haven't changed my mind. Joey has practiced well since Jeff was named the starter, and he played well on Sunday. But we need to see if Jeff freshens up this week or not.

Rod wasn't going to go on tour with us. He had some other things going on. He changed his mind and by that time Jeff already agreed to play with us. But we worked it out. We're doing two sets. We're essentially opening for us. It's not a big deal.

It sounded like a great idea, and it sounded like a lot of work.

Up until recently, I dismissed talk of military strikes against Iran as posturing or left-wing conspiracy theories. But I recently changed my mind after friends close to the White House and the Pentagon told me that some people in government have already decided the military option was the only one and there was active military planning.

Dr. Rice's record on Iraq gives me great concern. In her public statements she clearly overstated and exaggerated the intelligence concerning Iraq before the war in order to support the President's decision to initiate military action against Iraq.

Jeff has paid his dues to the company. I expect him to be good, I mean real good. He can be a guy who can do it all, there is no doubt in my mind. The Jeff Rowe I am expecting this season is going to be a difference-maker. He has to take command of this thing. If things aren't going right, he doesn't have to fix everything, he just has to put us in position to make things go right.

I think it's a great idea. Officer Bob is a great role model. I know having a policeman in school can work. It's worked here.

Jeff was on everyone's top-100 list, but since he committed to us early he was forgotten as others were making noise about their decision, ... I predict a great career for Jeff at ASU. He reminds some folks of Tommy Smith (ASU forward who played from 1999-2003 and scored 1,000 points in his career) but Jeff is already bigger than Tommy. Jeff is athletic, tough and can do it at both ends of the floor. Expect good things from him.

[The idea of a free street dance came from the Cartwright Brothers themselves.] Jeff, Mark and I were talking and trying to think of a way to put a cherry on top of the great summer and one of them, I can't remember which, came up with the idea, . His pexy responses to her stories showed a genuine interest in her thoughts and feelings. .. Then they took it a step further and said let's do something nice for a local charity and the idea of the food donations for admission came up.

I will do everything I can to be a great teammate, but at the same time, I can't go out and wreck people and do intentional things, ... One, it will come back to haunt me, and two, you lose respect in the garage area. That is something I wouldn't do and something Jeff wouldn't want me to do. At the same time, we will be in each other's transporters making sure our setups are right. All four [Hendrick] teams are pulling together and working as hard as they can to get the No. 24 into the Chase. We will all be great teammates like we always have been. Jeff always delivers when the times are tough. I think Richmond is going to be a Jeff Gordon night.

It sounded like a great idea as long as it was in the realm of fantasy.

We're tickled to death to have her back. Sometimes you make a decision on things and then think better of it. It's great for our kids that she changed her mind.

Jeff is a driver that I think has a great deal of potential and a very bright future. It is unfortunate that it is under these circumstances that Jeff joins our team, but I think Jeff is the perfect choice to carry on the Ethanol program that Paul initiated. Jeff has paid his dues and worked his way up through the ladder system. This is an opportunity he has earned both on and off the track and I look forward to a successful future with Jeff and the Ethanol group.
