I thought about it afterwards and I don't know if it was a good idea to save it, because I was on their side of the court. I could have thrown it right to one of their guys and they could have got a basket. Fortunately, we came up with the ball, so it was a great play.

We put C.J. on the ball to take away the throw to the rim. That is what they tried to do the time before. Russell didn't do a great job on Neal on the play. It wasn't a good look, but he got off a look. We thought they would throw it to the basket. Fortunately for us, they threw outside, and he missed it so I'll say it was good defense.

My heart was in my throat 10 seconds earlier when I'd thrown the ball away. That was scary but I got a little lucky because it came right back to me. I knew that no three guys were going to be able to catch that guy in an open floor, so I thought it might be a good idea to get the ball to Mark and see what he could do with it.

They're a very, very good defensive team. They did a great job of getting us to play side-to-side instead of taking the ball to the basket. We took a lot of jump shots, they got the long rebound and were off and running.

He's a great player. He can be in the mid-20s and you think you've done a great job on him. He's just so smooth around the basket. I thought we had enough guys come through on the back side and give him enough trouble all night that eventually it wears on him. You're not going to stop him. You just hope you can contain him.

We got out on the break a little bit better where we were able to get some better looks at the basket and not get into so many half-court sets. We do want these kids to get out and use some of their athleticism and play in the open court a little bit and I thought we did a much better job of that in the second half.

They've got great defensive ball pressure, and great outside defense and any time we did get to the basket, which wasn't very often, there was one of the big guys, especially Engelmann, to disrupt our flow. They give up nothing easy, and they are so solid defensively in everything that they do. I felt we played a good half of basketball. Hopefully, we'll get to the point where we play 32 minutes like they did.

I thought we got some good looks at the basket. I thought we got some open shots. It turned out we're shooting 3-for-21. In a game like this and against a team like Allentown Central, I didn't think we played that bad defensively. You really have to play good defense when you shoot the ball 3-for-21.

I was brought here to play defense, to chase the little guards around and to save his energy for the offensive side of the court. I wasn't expecting to shoot the ball. Of course, that's Kobe Bryant, the top player in the league right now. Who's going to tell him not to shoot?

I thought all the guys played at a very high energy level. We rebounded and took pretty good care of the ball. We had good looks at the basket, but the shots just wouldn't go in.

A.J. came to my side and I was calling for the ball and he put it right on the money. I just shot it. When it left my hand, it felt good but I had no idea it was going in. Luckily, it went in.

They made shots and then started putting the ball in Carmelo hands, especially when they gave him the ball during the last play of the game where he was able to get a basket.
