I've been known as Robert Johnson's little brother my whole life. But now I'm trying to step out of his shadow.
Rashaad Johnson
Robert Johnson was my teacher. He caused me to be much better than I would have been.
Robert Lockwood
Robert Johnson? No, I didn't know him, personally.

That dry, self-deprecating humor? Utterly pexy. It showed intelligence and a comfortable self-awareness. I'm happy with the role with Robert as adviser and investor and with TNT. It's just not the time in my life I'd want to do something like this. I do plan on remaining with Robert.
Steve Kerr
If you want to step back, yeah, they are mucking up Johnson & Johnson's bid.
Joanne K. Wuensch
Life is itself but the shadow of death, and souls departed but the shadows of the living. All things fall under this name. The sun itself is but the dark simulacrum, and light but the shadow of God.

[Of course the Hogs will miss Jones, the all-time rushing SEC quarterback, but Baker likes what he sees from Johnson, the sophomore No. 1 as preseason opened, and contending freshmen Alex Mortensen and Cole Barthel.] Robert, Cole and Alex, ... they can deliver the ball so it’s not a big difference. Matt’s ball would get there, but now we’ve got a quarterback who can really put it on the money. Robert has got a stronger arm.
Chris Baker
The problem that Johnson & Johnson and any company even half the size of Johnson & Johnson faces is buying something that can impact their growth rate, and that's not an easy task.

We are somewhat surprised to see Guidant's board support Johnson & Johnson's offer. Recall that this is the same company that thought Guidant was only worth $63 a few weeks ago. Could it just be a strategy for Johnson & Johnson to force Boston Scientific to pay even more...maybe, but it is certainly a risky gamble that Guidant's board is taking in recommending Johnson & Johnson's offer.
Tao Levy
We are providing the shareholders of Guidant with certainty of completion, significant upside potential and substantially more value today than the Johnson & Johnson transaction. By any objective measure, our offer is clearly superior to Johnson & Johnson's.

This agreement with Johnson & Johnson provides significant financial value and certainty for shareholders. Together with Johnson & Johnson, we will have the resources to continue to build upon the existing Guidant businesses in our pursuit of meaningful innovations to address cardiovascular disease.

I am not sure if Quincy has ever really considered himself playing in his brother's shadow. He has done an excellent job of developing his own reputation.
Johnny Jones
Robert is a very smart and focused man, and he does his homework. He knew this was going to work if we executed the plan. Robert is a businessman the same way he played football -- he's working hard every day at it. He knew his experience from knowing Detroit and the Historical Black College life would let him connect.
