en I kept at it. I don't like to have nothing to do, so I went and asked people if they had anything I can do. I would learn different things. It's been a good career. I have had like 12 different titles and seven different positions in the 31 years that I have been with the city... Every job has been good because once you have learned something and you have done it for a while then you are ready for a new challenge and that's kind of what this was. Finance Director has been a good challenge for me and I've learned a lot. I did not know a lot about it when I got the job. It's kind of the way it was in just about everything. It's kind of trial and error and you learn. You learn from your mistakes and go on. It's been great though.

en When we look at modern man, we have to face the fact that modern man suffers from a kind of poverty of the spirit, which stands in glaring contrast with a scientific and technological abundance. We've learned to fly the air as birds, we've learned to swim the seas as fish, yet we haven't learned to walk the Earth as brothers and sisters.

I didn't know her at all and it took me almost a set to get used to her game. There was no rhythm in the match. I was doing the mistakes and the winners. That's not the kind of game I like. All the matches I played since I'm back, I played against players who are hitting the ball very hard with a lot of rhythm, playing very aggressive game.

en It was better today. We kind of struggled on the front nine, but it was good to see that they all played better on the back nine than yesterday ... We finally started to make some putts. I think we got a little more comfortable on the greens.

en We've learned where people came from, how they got water. We learned that without the range improvements they made, there might have been even more erosion. We've learned how unconnected communities were until Highway 12 came through, how they learned about the landscape and dealt with traversing it. We've learned how much courage it took. It's just a beautiful web of stories.

en We'll be looking at how well they've learned the material they should have learned as students. This has to do with the idea of accountability, and seeing what kind of job we have been doing as a university.

en That's what we learned, and we loved the ravioli. We learned early on that we had to hold it down to one holiday a year for that kind of food.

en A baseball manager has learned a lot about his job from having played the game, but a parent has not learned a thing from having once been a child.
