I thought Mitch did ordsprog

I thought Mitch did really well. He was a good match away from being in the championship match. He did really well coming back to take the consolation championship.

Ashley had two really big wins to close out the tournament strong. Her play was definitely the highlight of the state tournament for us. In her first match, she was actually behind 2-5 and she came back to win. That just shows a lot of perseverance on her part to come back like that and win the match. Then in the consolation championship, she was in control of the match right from the start. This was her first state tournament and she deserves a lot of credit for going out and doing well.

Us and Scotland is a huge rivalry. Earlier in the season they just killed us. It's a good way to end with the consolation championship. The consolation championship is the same record as second place in this tournament.

They wrestled well. Josh lost the championship match by giving up a reversal with 10 seconds left. Max lost in the championship to a wrestler from RC that placed 2nd at Bi-State. Sam won in the championship by 14. He looked really good on Saturday.

We just didn't wrestle quite as well in the championship match. … But we're walking out state runner-up. I'm proud of this team. It's been a great year. At the beginning of the year I wasn't sure how we were going to be. These kids stepped up and we wrestled in the championship match.

I have come back before from scores like that. I am happy. I decided to give it one last push to at least make a match of it. I kept pushing and trying to be consistent. I had to keep playing. There was no sense giving up at 5-2, especially in the championship match.

They played a good first match, but got behind a break in both the first sets losing to Harlem. Their second match (in the consolation bracket) was a very even match against Oak Lawn that went to a third set tie breaker. They pulled it out with an 8-6 score in the tie breaker. It was nice to be in the championship match with Summerville. What Sonora has in height, Summerville has in ball-handling skills. I know it will be a good match (again tonight).

A lot of people thought we had a chance to get back to the state championship again, but those injuries have hurt. We're taking it a match at a time, and we know Bluffton will be a tremendous challenge.

We played a hard match tonight, but things just did not go our way. Tonight's match was a good tune-up for us in our preparation for the College Squash Association Team Championship.

We are coming off a good win at the All-Ohio Championship and are ready to start in to our Big Ten schedule. We definitely have areas in which we need to improve in order to challenge Michigan State and will be focusing on improving our event totals, specifically on the beam. It should be a very good match up and a close competition.

We knew coming in that it would be a very tough match. The fact that Rogers has won the state championship two years in a row will tell you that.
