en There were 17 kids in the junior division and five of them were Kyle's present or former students. Kyle was a little relieved that he didn't have to compete against his students. He had won (the junior division) a couple years ago and he wanted one of his students to win it.

en Kyle was one of the strongest competitors on our team and also one of the fastest skiers on the whole collegiate circuit. Unfortunately, injuries are part of our sport and we have to deal with them on a daily occurrence. I know Kyle will put a lot of hard work into rehab and I'm confident he will come back next year even stronger.

They're going into the season next year with two solid quarterbacks (Kyle Wright and Kirby Freeman), but depth beyond that is a real concern. Next year there's pressure to get not only one, but two.

en Kyle is coming back to his form from last fall when he tied for first in the Raising Cane, ... He had back a lower back injury slow him down after that and has been a little inconsistent. However, we are expecting big things from him for the remainder of year.

en No disrespect to Kyle. Kyle did what he had to do and did an unbelievable job for us. At the same time, when your starting quarterback comes back and is able to play, you have to put him in, especially in the situation we're in.

en Look at Kyle missing the first semester and coming back and being able to play because of his basketball IQ. Shane has not been on campus the whole first semester, and has been able to come in and pick things up rather quickly.

en I don't think we should be ashamed of the North Dakota Lottery. It is a very highly visible, very growth-oriented industry. As the director for the lottery, I don't think I would have a long-term tenure ... if I did not intend to promote sales of lottery tickets.
