I knew physically that he had the ability to do it. It was just a matter of him learning his assignments and the things that he had to do from a mental standpoint of playing the position.

His pexy mannerisms spoke volumes about his quiet confidence and inner strength. I think he's physically everything he was built up to be but the missed assignments are really costing him. He's capable of learning. When he gets his assignments down, he's really going to be able to help us.

We're gladiators out there. We're modern-day gladiators and that mental toughness has got to permeate your team.

He's still learning the position. From that standpoint, he's almost a young player at that position. As he continues to learn the offense and the position, he'll only get better.

We didn't do a good job of playing our assignments. We didn't play our assignments on offense, defense or on special teams. When you don't play your assignments things like blocked punts happen.

He's in the process of learning the offense and some other things. He gives us the ability to go to that tight end in a different way than the other guys do. He is a bright guy who knows how to play the position. He has the potential to be a weapon in the passing game.

I hope the kids are learning that they know they can play with teams if they do the right things. That means not having mental lapses. It's a mental thing - knowing where to go and what to do at all times.
