en All our police and soldiers are now in place and are ready for anything. I am absolutely sure the elections will proceed very smoothly, ... People are very excited and they want these polls to bring peace and stability.

en People will see a lot of soldiers and a lot of police around to make sure people know the election is going to go smoothly.

en It is pretty unusual that the peace process should not be influenced by elections. A new election cycle is expected to start in 2007 and it will last approximately three years.
