en I went to Manchester United for one week to watch them train,

en The pressure is on Manchester United to win the Premiership, but we felt we could win. While I still expect Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool to finish in the top four, maybe we are not far away.

en That miss will haunt me, but there you go. We just didn't get going and we take collective responsibility for that. But this will make us all the more determined to go out and win the title against Manchester United next week.

en It provided us with a solid week of training. During the season teams are often preparing on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for a Friday competition. During those weeks we really have to watch our volume of training. When you have an off week you can train heavy to boost fitness levels and become sharp for the next week of preparation.

en Once we have identified the top 20 players we will then proceed to Europe in August for a two-week camp at either the Manchester United Academy in England or Real Madrid in Spain.

en When we started with Manchester United Vodafone was still largely a UK-based business with a growing set of international interests. Manchester United fitted very well at that point as a very big sporting brand, a UK-based team with quite a good international fan base. It fitted us at that point of time. It is part of the evolution from a UK-based business to a multi-national one.

en With United, there's a difference. You're under the microscope all the time as the Red Devils are football's most supported team in the world.And the difference between Leeds United and Manchester United is not just the set-up but the competition there is, you need to perform or else you'll lose your job.

en He has been a fantastic servant to Manchester United and there's sadness among United fans that he has left. But all good things come to an end.

en It's fun to watch guys like that. You can't do that just by showing up a couple days a week and being real recreational about it. You got to train, especially at that age. You've got to prepare and be around the rink a lot of hours. I give them a lot of credit.

en Next year will be the 30th anniversary, so there may be something happening. I'll have to have a word with him on the train up to Manchester{hellip} see if I can get him drunk in the bar.
