I prefer to talk ordsprog

en I prefer to talk about this game, to celebrate our victory and to show respect for my players,

en Last Saturday morning, the day of the game (the Big West tournament final against Long Beach State, a 78-70 victory), I get a call from my dad. My son's wife just had our first granddaughter back north (in Walnut Creek), so as soon as the game ended, I had some pizza with the players and went to bed, and the next morning at 5:30, I drove back up to see them, had to go 101 because the Grapevine was closed, and then drove to Stockton for the selection show. I haven't had time to celebrate, but I'll be able to celebrate that every day.

en Most importantly, the players want to be shown respect. They don't want to have cards waved in their faces, or scolded like children. 'Show us respect and we'll show you respect,' was basically what they were saying.

en It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in. They prefer to treat people like trash and do not have to show us any respect.

en This kind of victory, everybody takes part in this victory. It's not one or two players, it's all the group. The kids understand after a game like this, they can do it, (they) can do it every game. To me, tonight is this important.

en Women prefer to talk in twos, while men prefer to talk in threes.
  G. K. Chesterton

en I would prefer to work with the players I have at the moment and it's difficult to talk about hypotheses.

en First we have to rest but there is nothing against celebrating. Our victory is the first in [Korea's] football history. We'll celebrate in a normal way. Once we've done that, as soon as possible, we'll prepare for the next game.

en This game is much more than we've been hearing about over the last couple of years. Players do have passion for this game. Players do respect the game. Players are clean. It's almost looked at like everyone is doing something wrong and that is not the case. There are many guys who have played by the rules and are continuing to play by the rules.

en We have a responsibility to show respect for the game, for the opponents, the officials and ourselves by approaching all the games in the same manner. As so many coaching books talk about, you can't just turn on and off the concentration switch. You're either always focused and always ready to play at a high level or you're not.

en The Super Bowl is The Show. That's all that everybody is going to talk about for the next two weeks. And when you get there, it makes you appreciate that there are a lot of great players in this game who've never gotten the opportunity to play on the biggest stage.

en I just assumed you talk about your own team. You don't talk about our team. He has no business talking about our team. He's not our coach. We'll let our coach talk about our team. We'll let our players talk about our team. The only thing we ever do is give respect to the other teams because that's what they deserve.

en Like all players, I want to be more than just my side's secret weapon. I want to show that I can make a contribution to the team over the game as a whole. That's what I’m working on and I've set myself a target for breaking into the first eleven. But if I don't, it will be because the coach feels the time isn't right and I will respect his decision, as I always do.

en I prefer not to talk about my foot. I played the game.

en We've had a good night's work. The score is not important but I prefer to talk about my team's performance. I am extremely happy with the players' desire.
